Happy Hump Day!
yeah, almost Friday! I took Friday off for a 4 day weekend, yeah! If I can survive writing 4M analytic rpts between now and then, I have lots of fun planned. One of my exciting projects is starting phase 1a of "Never mow my lawn again". Now I hear you snickering out there in xanga land saying "ha! baggy, you never mowed in the 14 years you lived there" ...well that is true - and I want to keep it that way!
I have already activated the BAV pgm so units #2 and #3 are on standby. I have an in-law on standby too but hopefully I won't need them forever because I will be turning my yard into a tropical oasis. We have a garden ctr here that only deals with FL native, draught tolerant plants. Guess where I have been shopping?! Phase 1a bought the ground cover for the front easement. Now to plant this weekend! Woo Hoo!
It will probably take me 2 yrs or so to do this but it is nice to have a plan again for something ...the Capricorn in me is happy

I leave for Charlotte this Friday and fly back on Monday. I love getting away each year even for a few days.
lol no but all our friends are I have never seen one but my husband was not at all interested in going so instead I found a gumbo contest haha

However, mucho happy to be finished with maximum travel in the last few months for Ball season. Travel is not bad, maximum travel is not good. Maybe now I can get back into my xanga, keep in touch w/ what's up w/ everyone. I am digging your cuz. =) I will swing by your office sometime in June...maybe we can go eat lunch like a bunch of haases. Maybe I can drag Acid C. Sam so she can have some time over there.

Yeah - dd's got the right idea. Take a picture now, so we'll get to see the total before and after pix. It's going to be cool.
So, you're finally joining me in my quest? (Well, the lawn guy mows what grass is left, but having the broken sprinker system is quickly taking care of that - it'll all be sand soon!) I'm waiting until rainy season to expand the front plantings. Let me know if you need any help.

What's a BAV? And I think I'm going to go the old-fashioned route (if I ever actually have a lawn) and just buy a couple of billy-goats.
ryc: I'm good if I'm left alone (as in... not around it) but as soon as someone even mentions it, I'm sunk. So far though, it's one week down and that's a start.
