Random Thoughts ...
Came home last week from Dallas to find a brand new shiny big girl shovel at my house thanks to Beachy and Rumpshaker. I was able to use it last night to plant all but the 10 new plants I bought on Saturday. Woo Hoo! Now I did not prep the yard like I should have so I think I only know where "there is" when it comes to the new plants but that is OK. Catlady gave me so tips to beat the system on weeds that I will be exploring hopefully soon. Depends on if I go a mulching this weekend or not. I kind of want to go get the free stuff at the city site but that would require a truck or me bagging it up and then unbagging back at my house. hmm we shall see!
I just finished reading The Secret. I like the basic principle of the book and I even believe in it most of the time but I am finding it difficult being so damn happy and positive ALL THE TIME. I am a sarcastic soul by nature and now I am afraid that is impeding my enlightenment! If anyone has read the book or has been able to reconcile the two, pls comment. I am curious to hear your views. The one thing the book encourages you to do is to count your blessing and be thankful each and everyday. I do love this idea. I know I am so lucky to have such great friends and family...they are loving, funny and most of all supportive. They even know the right things to say when it matters the most at the oddest times of the day or night. Thank you all

Our cups do runneth over don't they?
Hey . . . be careful w/the free city stuff . . . I've heard that it can be full of bugs'n stuff. Mom was considering it, but opted not to do it cuz of that. She went to Home Depot and just had them deliver a pallet of the stuff. Try some of your nurseries, often times they'll drop/deliver too. Worth a shot, and cheper than HD sometimes.
I saw that book this week at the bookstore..............I was wondering if it was a good book or not...........I just got done reading "The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity".........a very good book. It was required reading for a class that I am taking for my Masters...........but glad I read it............hugs.
I ran in and out the other day at your office. Didn't have much time to talk but thought I'd stop by since I can't get to xanga much lately. Lunch! I thought, "Damn, I could be eating with a sista!!"
ryc . . . bugless mulch . . . free? I'd so go for it then. Gee, now I'll want to find out if ours is zapped too.
Don't worry about bugs in the city mulch. From the 2007 County Recycling Directory (which includes the city sites): "Yard waste is ground and then sterilized using a natural healting and decomposition process prescribed by the University of Florida. This process kills weed seeds, plant pathogens, and harmful insects. The mulch is monitored for at least 45 days to ensure a high quality, sterilized product." (You know me, the recycle queen. Of course I have the directory handy. It does NOT make me a geek!) Let me know if you need help shoveling and bagging.
