Leftovers are better than the main event, in my opinion. Yesterday was shopping day, I missed the early and late crowds by hitting the stores right around 1:00pm, nobody in line, it was glorious. Today is house day, in so many senses of the word. I need to restring the basement clothe drying rack, run a new dryer vent before I set fire to the house with the one that's six years old, clip Olive's nails, rake the foot of leaves in the backyard, do dishes and then watch a few episodes of the first season of House, which I've just discovered. Tomorrow is social day - leftover party at Beth and Walters. But I wish I was spending a few hours at the beach instead - not possible here at this time of year.
