glad that so many of you vote too - whatever your beliefs are!

Glad to see that FL will no longer be the crazy state, looks live VA will be taking that mantle over with their voter recount that they will be kicking off sometime today.  Alright I know, FL will still be know as crazy but it is nice that we can now spread it around.  I heard someone got punched out when they tried to vote...not FL!  The only thing better would have been if TX voted in Kinky Friedman as their Gov.  That would have been good!  I think I would have voted for him.

Last night was entertaining.  It was raining lots and I am watching LT's dogs while she is in Dallas with Acid and there was no way they were going for a walk in the rain ...so I just brought them home with me.  Picture a beagle, a pot bellied piggy (mine) and her two white fluff balls (hers) all following me to and fro, to and fro.  Beachy came over and we all watched Gilmour and then some of the election returns.  The animals were all hilarious as they jockeyed for free bed space.  Good times ... I might have to do a repeat tonight.

Glad that voting is today - I am tired of the political ads and all the phone calls/recorded mssgs!

Lazy Sunday ....

Today was going well till I turned on the Buc's game - ha ha.  Hopefully the NASCAR race later on will be better.  I know, it is still 1 Qtr and all but, they are already down 14 zip and my Buccos have sucked this year!

Yesterday's walk went well and of course I had fun with Beachy.  I helped pass out 15K subway sandwiches yesterday under beautiful weather conditions.  A little nippy in the early morning hours but by 10:30 it was gorgeous.  Subway is one of Beachy's customers so I don't mind helping out, besides they are a lot of fun.  We were done by 12ish back in St Pete eating BBQ by 12:30.  I still made it to the beach later that afternoon.  While it was windy, no surfers or kite surfers - grumble grumble.  I did take some sunset shots so depending on how they look I might post later.  Still it was beautiful so I can't complain about a thing.

Yeah Friday!

Job update - still don't know everything BUT they threw me a bone and what litte nugget they shared I am very happy.  I don't know all details, but when I do you will be the 1st to know.  So all the crossing of body parts must have worked!  Because the one thing I really wanted happened.

Tomorrow is our walk, I have to be at Beachy's between 5-5:30 am ...yuck.  But it is my volunteering activity so I will do it with a smile.  In the past I have been there earlier to help with those darn ballons ...this time just helping out the nice Subway folks pass out sandwhiches.

The weather says it might be windy ...that could mean another hellacool surfer watching afternoon.  If that is the case I am going to bring a real camera to the beach I can take pics...before I take a nap. HA HA

yes, was in the mtg for 30 mins, got a couple of assignments and that was it.  Maybe today.  Whatever.  I have fun book club tonight and I still haven't finished the book so I have other bigger priorities. ha ha

Thanks for all of your well wishes but pls stop crossing all of your body parts, it could be awhile I don't want any of you cramping up.

I can find out as early as today what my new role will be in our new merged affilate.  IF I do and I am not sworn to secrecy, I will update later.  The latest buzz is s that all Sr Mgt will be announced by this Friday and "additional layers" soon after.  I think I will be falling into the "additional layers" category but because I am one of the data keepers, I might find my role out sooner.

I am hoping for a TREAT today vs a TRICK - that's right - Happy Halloween too!
oh and if Beachy hasn't put up a pic of her with her costume on yet, I will when I get home - it was outstanding!

weekend update ...

the beach turned out to be VERY windy but I still had a blast.  With the wind, many things turned up, huge shells from the sea (got a great whelk! and some smaller conchs) sand blowing so hard and fine  that it looked like fog rolling in -very cool but alas all I had was the camera phone and those pics turned out as well as the dolphin ones ....and of course lots of surfers.  the wind surfers were incredible to watch.  between the zooming and the air acrobatics it was a regular show.  the sun played hide and seek so of course, i broke down and put on a long sleeve shirt some of you can guess which one ...I still left rejuvenated and ready to face the week and that is really what it is all about huh?

oh yeah, also stopped off at the health food store and saw Sunshine's fav clerk. ha ha ha

Wah Wah -

it is very cloudy out.  tooooooo cloudy for a Saturday beach outing ...or is it?  Hopefully by the time I want to go, the clouds will clear.  There is also the Times Festivial of Reading going on today.  I normally go but I am trying to save my pennies and I always spend way to much at the independent booksellers.  You know, just doing my part to stimulate the economy and support the small business peeps.  If it remains cloudy ....hmmm ... must resist books.

Talk about stimulating the economy ...Catlady's mom is the Exec for the Pinellas County Homeless Coalition (or something like that)  and they had their 9th annual auction Thursday night.  Between my mom, Beachy, Sunshine and I we spent lots of $$$.  Catlady and her mom were no slouches either in the "ooo it is for a good cause" department.  we had fun and still home by 9 (after a drive through run).  Yes for you co-workers out there it was hard for the 3 of us not to discuss how they could do the event better and we did end up doing some aution item running at the end during checkout but on the whole we didnt get to involved.  There is always next year for that LOL.

that is right, I am wildly jumping to conclusions as my Sr Managers of varying walks of life keep asking me questions and if I can attend certain meetings.  I think I shall know my fate by next Friday. dun dun dun! (<-- that is suppose to be suspense music)

having a blast this week with Beachy, her bro and his sailor friends.  they are so freakin funny.  I can't wait for Beachy to put up a pic of her halloween costume.  If it turns out 1/2 as good as it does in our mind's eye it will be hysterical and totally fabulous.
