Happy Sunday
Another grueling week will be starting in less that 24 hrs but I plan on fighting it for awhile with visiting with a friend, maybe a little shopping & getting me tree and of course football. How bad can the Bucs loose today?? We will know soon. The reason why work is so grueling but yet exhilarating for me right now is with the merger, the layoffs have started. You can read Beachy's latest post about the subject. She says it soooo well. That's why she is a writer/marketer and can sell at work while I am a data geek that can also string a complete sentence, hell sometimes a whole paragraph together in the work setting but hey, lets not be a show off - ha ha. We all knew that layoffs were possible but that doesn't make it any easier. There is a big meeting on Wed and my new boss (or as Acid would say my Super Super) will not be there to have my back. She has a family emergency.
All this means to me is a confirmation of goodbye 2006 ...hello 2007
On a lighter note - Pumpkin is BEAUTIFUL again. Their parting shot was "don't wax it for 30 days" I am thinking - no freakin problem there. My laziness on this is what got me into this pickle (read prior post for details) in the 1st place. It does need a bath. The hood is all nice and shiny and sand free and then there is the rest of the car. I was hoping they were going to wash it - geez I am lazy! Oh well it was a good investment. The car is only 6 years old with a little over 60K miles, I am going to make this sucker last for at least 10. It is good to have goals.
I also had a thought yesterday ...I need another digital camera that is smaller than my big one where I can change lens and stuff. I missed some great fog rolling onto the beach yesterday cause I was lazy and did not bring my big guy. I am already looking on ebay hoping to score a deal. Maybe soon you will be seeing pics from my new investment. Gotta get back into my photography thing.
