Good news and bad news ...I got bugs! Shocking headlines from a FL girl!
bad news, yes I got termites in the garage, good news - not in the house! yippee! So only my garage has to be tented next week and me and the animals don't have to be nomads for 3 days. I know this is just par for the course living in FL, but it is still a pain in the ass. So after next week, one very needed home project can be checked off the list. Acid, I have ants too! What I thought was termites in the bathroom are in fact winged golden harvest ants - I was thinking, whatever! What do I do to kill them??? So I am breaking down and going on a yearly bug service. Lord knows I don't want to crawl under the house!
Work has been a little tense, 2 mergers are happening and our affiliate is one of them. Everything is getting so tense as folks are getting "ants in their pants" wanting to know what their new role will be ...if they have one. Since I work in the admin services side, there are some duplication of staff ...I might have to go back to IT with Acid if I want to stay with the company. So much drama and life changes going on for me in 2006 that for once I am just not going to worry about it or make a plan. For those of you who know me well, you know what an odd statement that is for me - LOL.
Trying to make it to the beach today but I might be solo - Beachy is in NYC having a fabulous time and Sunshine might be making halloween costumes. This means, I will have to play the role of slacker today, which I will do so glady.
oh and Beachy - I finally made it to the grand opening sale of Kohl's last night and you scored a bday present out of it! Man, I love the store. Now I will only have to drive 30 mins vs. 8 hours to shop there!
have a good day hosers!

ewwww in cleaning my boys room I found carpet beetles....nasty things. I got grossed out killed them all and showered three times.
Enjoy your weekend.
I remember houses being tented in FL when I lived there. They don't do that up here in the north - - not that we don't have bugs here, but I guess the bugs like the weather so much down south it's hard to control them otherwise. Good luck with getting rid of them. What a pain in the ass!! I hope things calm down for you at work. Sometimes one just has to go with the flow, huh?
Hey baglady! Halloween planning is going well. I have all of the pieces of my outfit. Lookout Disney, there's a new Kim Possible in town!
I might be coming over to Heather's in November. I think it's the weekend of beachy's party. Hope to see you!
SO glad it's only the garage!!! That's a nice break. So true in FL, ughhh. They are everywhere. And when all the bugs are out of the picture in FL, the dog and cat hair takes over. Nice!
No matter what happens, you'll make the right choices so you'll be alllll good. =)
Three cheers for making it to Kohls!! Only 30 miunets - okay I'm in.
Hope you made it to the beach today. Itwas cold in NYC.
(Say like Nelson Muntz--Simpsons) Ha Ha
You went and got ants . . . . I'm feelin' the love, man!
Come to IT, come . . . . follow the IT light, follow the light . . . just think, we'll sorta' have the same super super . . . can't beat that!
Smell ya' later
Three cheers for the Kohl's. Beachy likes to go whenever she comes to Indiana, so I know you will have a happy shopping companion. About the bugs...I have these weird gnats all over my house, and until recently, I had a spider (the size of a golf ball) making a web (the size of a motorcycle) on my front porch. Some neighborhood kids were playing hide-n-seek and one ran onto my porch. I heard a shriek and a "help me!" as I found him wrapped in the web with the spider dangling about 4 inches from his nose. I did (help him) but I fear I'm now the "crazy spider lady" among the local kids. Didn't help that I called the spider "darling".
