Happy Sunday!
So far, all I have done is played with my xanga backgrounds and colors! I wanted something fall-ish, but not really happy with anything I found so I finally settled for this. What do you think? While I could waste away the whole day goofing around, I feel compelled to leave my PC at some point and ...sit on the couch and watch football - ha ha. Seriously, I do have things I want to get done and playing around here is just a nice diversion to keep me away from the ugly real things that have to get done.
Anyway - beach day was EXTRAORDINARY. A family of dolphins (3 or 4) played, frolicked etc in front of us for about 2 hours. It was magnificent. The one bigger dolphin was so close to shore - beachy and sunny, he was were we usually go out to swim! He was jumping in the air and enjoying the day like the rest of us. TM came out with me, well I kidnapped her and she was glad she did make it out once she saw the dolphins. TM is entering a new stage in her life - all her kids are pretty much grown and on their own, she is foot loose and fancy free again. She has moved into a new apt not far from my house so I think she might become a regular beach day attendant. I have not seen her that relaxed in years - it was nice. The funniest part of the day was me trying to get a pic of the dolphins with my camera phone. Now, when I was in AK last summer, I was in a boat maybe 30ft from a baby whale and I missed him with my digital camera ...what ever made me think that I would be able to capture the dolphin on my camera phone from the beach witout a zoom etc??? I wasn't even drinking but yet I tried!!!! Below is TM helping me out - ha ha - trying to get my pic. You will have to use your imagination to see the fin

After the beach, LT met us back at the house for spagetti, salad, garlic bread and homemade apple pie - yum yum! Mom was there too so it was a nice evening of the 4 of us....with of course NASCAR going in the background. (Woo hoo - Jr is gaining in the points, he might pull it out!) LT was joking that she just sorta invited herself over but it was so much fun. She has been working and traveling so much lately that I think she needed the break. She brought her doggies and they got along remarkedly well with my pets.
It was just a nice day - want more of them like that!
have a happy one and I hope for you football fans out there that your teams win ...unless they are playing my pathetic Bucs!

It is a beautiful day here, and I will catch up on football after we ride.
Beach days are good for the soul.
The weather here has been dancing around 45-55. I keep hoping that before I leave the leaves in the park will change colors. Ho wlong does it take anyway??
Oooh, I likey . . . I like the background . . . and ya' know, I think I can see the dolphins . . . really, I see'm when I close my eyes. Aren't experiences like the bestest? Just humbles the soul. Your ladies' night in sounds very nice too, I'm wishing I'd been there! I wonder if you'll be cooking now as often as you did before . . . and will still be hoping for one of your meals when I'm your way again . . . Mmmm, smashed 'taters'n ribs . . . . so happy for TM, if there's one person deserves some R&R, that lady certainly does! You're a good friend to have dragged her out.
Sounds like a nice day at the beach.....need to spend this next weekend relaxing and recuperating from vacation....
That definitely sounds extraordinary to me! Suuuuuh-weeeeeet. Something about the way they swim that makes a person stare.
This background is very nice,it looks like vintage fabric.
I love that pic! I want to be there soooooooo bad right now... winters wll on its way here and it sucks ass pretty badly. And unfortunately it looks like my trip to California is going up in smoke.
p.s... I think I used to have a kitchen table with this pattern on it...
